Puppetting, or Parrotting, are terms used in the tulpa community to refer to the conscious movement of the tulpa by the tulpamancer. Puppetting refers to consciously moving the tulpa, while Parrotting refers to consciously making the tulpa speak. When you do this, you are causing the tulpas form to move, rather than letting them move it themselves.

It's common for newcomers to the practice to become concerned of puppeting their tulpa unintentionally, however puppetting requires conscious effort to occur.
